About Dr. Gaynor Haynes
I am an autism consultant bringing over 20 years of experience, alongside my professional and academic specialism, I also have personal experience as a mother to four adult children, including my eldest son who is autistic.
The combination of parenting an autistic child, and specialising in autism, contribute towards a unique blend of personal insight and brings professional expertise to my work.
Parenting my son has enabled me to empathetically work with others in similar situations, and it has grounded my practice in lived experience.
I understand first-hand the joys, challenges, and everyday realities faced by families and I use that understanding to offer practical, compassionate, and evidence-informed support that resonates with others.
Education
I am committed to continuous professional development, ensuring my practice is informed by the latest research and best practice. This allows me to deliver effective, evidence-based, and relevant support for autistic individuals.
I hold a PhD specialising in sexual abuse and violence experienced by autistic people which focuses on safegaurding, trauma, and autistic sexual vulnerability. I also hold a MEd and BPhil in Autism, which together provide a strong interdisciplinary foundation in autism theory, education, policy, and practice.
Alongside my formal qualifications, my biggest credential has been informed by parenting my autistic child. This lived experience informs every aspect of my work and ensures that my consultancy is practical, compassionate, and responsive to the real-world challenges faced by autistic individuals and their families.

How do I charge for my services
My service fees reflect the expertise and individualised support I provide to each client. With both specialised knowledge and the lived experience of parenting an autistic child, I bring a unique perspective to my work. My approach blends evidence-based practice with practical, real-life insight to support autistic individuals, families, professionals, and organisations.
I offer competitive rates and the following outlines my current service costings, with flexibility available for bespoke packages, community organisations, and ongoing partnerships.
Initial Consultation: Free (15 minutes)
A complimentary phone or video consultation to discuss how I can support
you, answer initial questions, and to determine if my style fits your
expectations and comfort level.
(N.B. This is simply an introduction and work will not be undertaken in this discussion).
1:1 Consultation: £100 per 60-minute session
This helps me to understand how I can best support you.
Ongoing Sessions:
Prices vary to customise individual support.
Mentoring & Email Support
Prices vary dependent upon the type of service (eg consultation; mentoring;
email support).

Workshops
